Job Title: Senior Software Developer, Applications (CO)

Client: FWS Environmental Conservation Online System (ECOS)

Clearance: Public Trust

Citizenship: US or Green Card / Permanent Resident – must pass a Background Investigation

Education (If required): BS - Computer and Information Systems or 10+ years of experience in equivalent field.

You are required to work at least 2-3 days per week in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s office and may work 2-3 days per week from home.

• Fort Collins, CO or
• Falls Church, VA

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the benefit of the American people. The Environmental Conservation Online System (ECOS) is an important component of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s mission. ECOS provides scientists and citizens data regarding threatened and endangered species and conservation of wildlife habitats for approximately 50,000 users. It facilitates the collaborative administration of a network of national lands and waters for the conservation, management, and restoration of fish, wildlife, and plant resources and their habitats within the United States.

Inalab Consulting is looking for a senior software developer with a passion for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s mission.

As a senior software developer (front end), you will work on a team of Inalab and government personnel to ensure that ECOS is always available to the American people. You will:

• Build, test, and maintain infrastructure for a wide variety of systems and web applications that make up ECOS using multiple technologies.
• Work closely with software engineers to deploy web applications and respond to incidents in production.
• Be responsible for defining and implementing security controls for ECOS applications in the cloud.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience as a front-end developer
• 2+ years’ experience as a UI/UX designer
• Experience with .NET.
• Experience with Sencha EXT JS – nice to have
  Experience that demonstrates both JavaScript Framework proficiency and understanding of SOLID design principles (plugins, node packages, etc.).
• Experience working within an integrated development environment such as Visual Studio
  Experience with version control systems (TFS/Git/GitHub)
• Familiarity with various branching/merging strategies
• Proficiency in designing interfaces and building clickable prototypes using tools such as Balsamiq or Sketch
