OVERVIEW

Responsible for maintenance functions and equipment in senior housing facilities. Performs repairs and/or troubleshoots problems to include: plumbing, interior and exterior painting, plaster and drywall repair, HVAC (furnaces and coolers), and electrical (check and replace outlets and fuses). Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Repairs and/or troubleshoots problems in senior housing facilities to include: plumbing, interior and exterior painting, plaster, and drywall
  • Repairs, replaces, and reassembles defective equipment parts, including AC unites, using hand and power tools
  • Performs routine maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
  • Assembles, installs, and/or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment
  • Performs work on major and minor construction projects
  • Reports any observed or realized problems to the Executive Director
  • Operates company-owned vehicles for work-related assignments, following all procedures established by CCS Driver Safety Policy
  • Maintains Facilities vehicles in safe operating condition
  • Makes recommendations for needed facilities and equipment renovations and repairs
  • May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position and will be considered by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
  • High School Diploma or GED (experience may substitute for education)
  • Proven record of excellent customer service and teamwork
  • Ability to stoop, bend, climb and reach
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. 20% of shift

REGULATORY
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver license, proof of insurance, and 39-month motor vehicle report
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI National Criminal Records History Report (employer paid)
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen (incudes marijuana, regardless of recreational use laws) (employer paid)
  • TB screening (employer paid)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years of post-secondary education in related field
  • Experience with HVAC, electrical (outlets and fuses), and surface flooring
  • Experience with tag and lockout procedures
  • Experience in carpentry, construction, or electrical work
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, verbal and written
