Lead - Shipping

As an individual contributor, the Shipping Lead directs and coordinates daily shipping processes to ensure optimized productivity. The Lead ensures accurate and timely processing of shipping department documentation for all out-bound deliveries of product.

• Communicates with shipping team regarding prioritization of outbound shipping tasks and schedules, pallet inventory, and more.
• Monitors flow of outbound deliveries and communicates with drivers and routing team regarding delays or issues that arise.
• Maintains records and processes documentation associated with all shipments according to procedures.
• Ensures shipments are loaded safely and according to routing guides and SLAs.
• Confirms load accuracy and bills of ladings are prepared for drivers in a timely manner.
• Ensures dock securement procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Generates reports to track and resolve discrepancies related to outbound shipments.
• Supports the Shipping Supervisor with directing the work, creating and relaying reports, and more, in their absence.
• Follows all safety protocols as outlined for the position and fosters a culture of safety within the department and among the team.
• Completes all training requirements timely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
