HOSPITALITY COORDINATOR

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and manage budgets for both food services and special events.
• Collaborate with ministry areas to coordinate food services and special event needs.
• Work with external caterers to secure competitive pricing and facilitate ministry events.
• Serve as the primary contact for external groups wanting to rent our facility.
• Bill all ministry areas for their events each month to reimburse kitchen expenses.
• Ensure food quality and quantities for meals including Wednesday lunch and dinner.
• Work with ministry teams to secure & direct volunteers for ministry events when needed.
• Manage & maintain kitchen equipment, pantries & supplies.
• Collaborate with properties and services team to coordinate needs for events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in hospitality management or a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate volunteers, work collaboratively with multiple teams and foster a positive and supportive team environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including familiarity with food safety standards and health codes.
• Basic proficiency in computer use for tasks such as budget tracking, email communication and event planning.
• Sound written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage in a professional, hospitable, and courteous manner.

Preferred but not required:

• Bi-lingual – Spanish and English speaker.
