Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Project Accountant! We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, pro-active, has good organizational and time management skills. Prior experience with an Architecture or Engineering firm is preferred. Construction industry candidates will also be considered.
Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Project Accountant! We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, pro-active, has good organizational and time management skills. Prior experience with an Architecture or Engineering firm is preferred. Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for invoicing in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Maintenance of contract information, which includes, but is not limited to maintaining accurate files of client and subcontractors agreements. Will work closely with Project Managers & Principals in preparation of project budgets and other pertinent contract information.
- Responsible for setup and maintenance of projects in Deltek Vision accounting software.
- Works closely with the Project Managers tracking monthly invoices, additional service requests and change orders. This may require visiting other offices on occasion.
- Provides assistance to Project Managers and Corporate Leadership in account collections, receivables and payables.
- Works closely with clients and subcontractor’s accounting departments.
- Other accounting responsibilities may include accounts payable & unit entry.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Ability to work independently and be deadline driven.
- Detail-oriented problem solver.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Prefer accounting or finance degree.
- At least five (5) years accounting experience, Architecture or Engineering preferred.
- Construction or professional service firms experience will be considered.
- Proficiency with accounting software packages, Deltek Vision preferred, Microsoft Excel and Word.
