Summary

The Assembler is responsible for producing and assembling mechanical parts according to specifications.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Reads and follows daily Manufactured Electronic Scheduler (MES) and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts in an accurate and timely fashion
  • May align and shim parts for proper fit
  • Makes routine inspection of products after assembling
  • Operates small hand and power tools
  • Provides training to less experienced assemblers
  • Maintains a 5S work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Participates in continuous improvement through submittal of improvement ideas and working with management and engineering to accomplish improvements



Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of mechanical assembly experience required

Required Skills

  • Must be familiar with portable power tool and machine tools such as a drill press
  • Requires a basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Must have computer familiarity
