Chief's is a six-story bar, restaurant, and live music venue designed to celebrate Eric Church's ever-expanding musical legacy. Chief's houses a studio for live broadcasting, inclusive of Church's Outsiders Radio SiriusXM channel, with the capability of hosting broadcasts by various media partners. ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Event Captain at Chief's on Broadway, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of private events by serving as the primary liaison between clients, event managers, culinary staff, servers, and attendants. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the setup and breakdown of events, managing and supervising event staff, and ensuring that all details outlined in event orders are meticulously executed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and requests are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless execution of events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Oversee all confirmed catering and events, bridging the gap between the sales and operations team. Coordinating setup, food preparations, scheduling, and serving during the event; and the finalization and cleanup of all catering and events.
  • Directs setting up of tables, food, and any additional services; and orchestrates its completion in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Supervise event staff, providing guidance, support, and scheduling as needed.
  • Maintain constant communication with all stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during events.
  • Adapt to changes in event plans and priorities with flexibility and efficiency.
  • Follow procedures to ensure the security and proper storage of banquet inventory and equipment, check storage areas for proper supplies, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Promptly notes and provides feedback to all team members about the event's function.
  • Manages Event Departments inventory, storage, and delivery. Including the transportation, or arrangement of transportation, of inventory from offsite storage to venue.
  • Collaborates with other departments to schedule appropriate event staffing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Maneuverability throughout all areas of the venue and restaurant is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate restaurant and office equipment.
  • Perform a variety of activities, changing activities frequently and sometimes without notice.
  • Work effectively at a fast pace and in high-stress situations.
  • Respond promptly to visual and auditory cues.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in event, hospitality, and/or banquet service.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Management.
  • Availability to work 40-50 hours per week, including early mornings, evenings, late-night, and weekends.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the position, including standing/walking for up to 12 hours and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Previous experience in management, private events, high-volume restaurants, or fine dining establishments is required.
  • Proficiency in reading Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and executing details outlined within.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Adherence to dress code and appearance standards.
  • Experience with TripleSeat and Social Tables is a bonus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
