Job Purpose / Summary:
The Regional Manager of Pharmacy Operations will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of multiple pharmacies within a designated geographic region. This position involves strategic planning, management, and coordination of pharmacy services and clinical programs to ensure the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and financial performance across multiple pharmacy locations. The Regional Manager of Pharmacy Operations also involves managing staff, controlling inventory, and optimizing business performance to meet organizational goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Manager of Pharmacy Operations will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of ASM’s pharmacy locations.
- Develop and implement standardized operating procedures across all pharmacies in the region to ensure consistency and efficiency in daily operations.
- Optimize workflow processes, inventory management, and resource allocation to enhance overall operational efficiency
- Develop programs and processes that drive utilization and ensure that pharmacy teams are conducting proactive outreach, to patients and prescribers, to improve medication adherence and increase the prescription capture rate.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to maintain quality assurance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor financial performance metrics and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Manage budgets for each pharmacy location within the region, identify cost savings and revenue generation opportunities.
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of pharmacists and pharmacy staff fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Ensure that all pharmacy locations adhere to federal, state, and local regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
- Monitor and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction across all pharmacy locations.
- Implement customer service initiatives and feedback mechanisms.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between pharmacy locations and other departments within the organization.
- Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks to Leadership in a timely manner.
- Maintain strong relationship with client partners and meet as needed to ensure operational excellence.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- State licensure as a pharmacist.
- 5+ years in pharmacy management, with a focus on corporate or multisite settings.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations, quality assurance, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
- Excellent understanding of data analytics and application to drive results.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and technology.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in additional states as required.
Travel Required:
- Up to 35% travel
Working Conditions / Physical Demands:
· Utilize a computer and calculator
· Must be able to work at a desk/ in office for 8 hours per day
· May be required to lift items up to 25 lbs. on occasion
· Will need to handle issues after hours on laptop occasionally
