International Shipping Clerk

Major Savannah manufacturing facility is seeking an International Shipping Clerk for immediate hire. The International Shipping Clerk will coordinate the flow of work and materials between departments as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve execution of production assignments.
• Review and distribute supplies and shipments in a timely manner.
• Confer with other departments to determine progress of work and completion dates.
• Compile reports on costs and inventory levels.
• Review and communicate production status reports.
• Serve as point of contact between production and planning teams.

Qualifications:

• Able to analyze data and communicate findings clearly and concisely to management.
• Excellent problem solving and judgement to drive resolution in a timely manner with the ability to develop alternative solutions.
• Experience with managing and expediting parts delivery to meet customer deadline.
• Proven knowledge of industry standard logistics and trade compliance regulations including Free Trade Agreements, CFR Tittle 19, ACE HTS Classification.
• Proficiency with ERP Systems
• Strong computer skills to include MS Office and EXCEL.
• Knowledge of modes of transport LTL, T/L, Freight Forwarders and Brokers. Skilled with creating Bills of Lading and shipping labels.
• Very strong international shipping experience. Able to conduct internal audits to review import and export compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or engineering or equivalent work experience. 
• Practicing US Customs Broker License.
