About the Role: The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process
• Performs routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical technical functions and activities such as test, modification, troubleshooting and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools and test fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or plans to perform routine testing and troubleshooting.
• Compiles logbooks and test procedures documentation utilizing good writing skills.
• Observes safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment.
• Becomes familiar with current manufacturing and/or engineering processes and stays informed of any changes in procedures. Assists in the correction of problems.
• Perform rework as a result of testing. Generates Quality Notifications, work with engineers in conducting experiments
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Possesses an Associate degree in Electronics coupled with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing setting within the telecommunications or electronics industry is highly preferred.
• Exhibits proficient analytical skills and applies scientific methods effectively to undertake a diverse range of tasks.
• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of team dynamics and demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
• Capable of identifying and resolving common issues within their work area autonomously, utilizing established operating procedures and scientific methodologies.
• Exhibits a strong commitment to ensuring the quality of their work.
• Excellent communication skills, facilitating clear and effective interaction within the team and with other stakeholders.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
