TIG Welder

Position Summary: Innovive is a consistently growing manufacturing company serving the biomedical research community. The TIG Welder contributes to the success of Innovive through the fabrication and production of high quality racks. This position requires a hard-working, detail oriented individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment. This full time position will take direction from the Racking Assembly Lead and report to the Production Supervisor.

Position Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine measurements for planning layouts and procedures

• Determine appropriate welding equipment and methods based on production requirements

• Prepare individual components for welding according to specifications, e.g. utilize power and hand tools to cut and prime materials prior to welding to meet production requirements and ensure welds meet quality standards

• Utilize calipers, measuring instruments, and clamps to align product components

• Weld components using manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertically, horizontally, and overhead)

• Repair machinery and equipment requiring welding, as required

• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure conformance with quality standards

• Ensure equipment is maintained to prevent safety hazards

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to read and Interpret technical documents and drawings

• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and willingness to wear proper protective equipment (face-shield, gloves, etc)

• Possess a high attention to detail

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Professional Certifications (AWS Welding Certificate, etc) are a plus

• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, etc)

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments including squares and calipers

• Experience working with Google Suite is a plus.
