Your Role:

The Reliability Fixed Equipment Engineer to join our Maintenance and Reliability team Olive Creek (OC) Plant 1. This individual will be responsible for establishing and leading the Mechanical Integrity Program for plant compliance. Provide expertise for the design, re-rating, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of the plant's fixed equipment. Provide a proactive approach to fixed equipment improvement efforts.

You Will:

  • Be knowledgeable of ASME Codes B31.1, B31.3, Section VIII Division 1 and 2
  • Provide fixed equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, etc.) and piping technical support for multiple sites within the plant.
  • Perform root cause analysis, using various methods to reduce probability associated w/ fixed equipment failures.
  • Be willing to become a site leader for flanged joint integrity.
  • Perform reviews and approvals for Management of Change (MOC), as they relate to fixed equipment modifications.
  • Be the primary point of contact for the Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity Program
  • Perform other duties as needed

You Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties and responsibilities
  • Sound knowledge of fixed equipment as well as a knowledge of inspection activities/techniques. Preferred that the candidate is familiar with ASME B31.1, B31.3, Section VIII Div 1 and 2, PCC1, PCC2. Advantageous to have knowledge of API 510, API 570, API 579
  • Knowledge of materials, welding, and inspection practices.
  • Demonstrated competence in plant and equipment inspection.
  • Demonstrated technical experience related to fixed equipment and piping.
  • Experience with Caesar II and/or PV Elite or other Piping / Pressure Vessel analysis software preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and equally well with plant management and plant operations personnel
  • Strong hands-on skills with a willingness to troubleshoot equipment and "get dirty"

Advantageous
  • Experience in a petrochemical or refining facility, including working extended outages or turnarounds
  • Familiar with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)

Work Environment

Production site. 50% climate controlled indoor environment, 50% field.

Travel

Up to 10% travel.
