Audio Visual Technician ~ part-time

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, install, and operate sound and video equipment such as microphones, amps, speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires, and cables
• Monitor sound feeds to ensure quality sound at appropriate volumes
• Support of Marketing drawings, giveaways, and special events via audio/visual system to both small and large live audiences
• Manage overall health of A/V system and equipment
• Diagnose and correct media system problems
• Test and resolve equipment issues
• Send equipment for repairs as needed
• Work with computer-controlled lighting systems
• Maintain inventory of equipment
• Maintain Green Room inventory stock
• Ensure upkeep of cleanliness in work station and in green room/stage
• Have understanding and ability to run sound for regional acts
• Assist in stage setup and intake of bands
• Manage and implement stage plots provided by regional acts.
• Work closely with vendors to ensure all needs are met
• Manage incoming calls and messages on radio and work cell phone in a timely fashion
• Arrive to work in uniform punctually to fulfill duties
• Adhere to all company policies as explained in Team Member Handbook
• Assist with coordination for National and Regional acts
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and interact with internal departments.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years of experience as an Entertainment A/V Technician or degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred.
• Experience with amps, audio distribution, wireless mics, audio touch panels, sound and video mixing, and lighting systems preferred.
• Gaming experience preferred, but not required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Able to obtain a valid KHRC Gaming/Racing License.
