Job Description: Audio & Visual (A/V) Technician
Contract Length: 11 months
W2 Hourly Pay Rate: $23-$26
Role is Onsite in Columbia SC- Possible travel to Florence and Surfside Location.
Overview:
The A/V Technician supports corporate audio-visual systems, focusing on installation, maintenance, and operational support of conference room technologies. This is an onsite role supporting multiple locations with occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and support A/V equipment including Crestron, Extron, and Microsoft Teams Rooms
  • Provide day-to-day operational support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for audio/visual systems
  • Assist with conference room design, setup, and technology integration
  • Partner with users to resolve technical issues and ensure optimal system performance
  • Test, evaluate, and support new A/V hardware and software solutions
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for supported technologies
  • Collaborate with vendors, IT teams, and leadership to support ongoing initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 2+ years of A/V or related technology experience (including 1+ year of direct support)
  • Hands-on experience with Crestron, Extron, and video conferencing tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams Rooms)
  • Strong troubleshooting, installation, and customer support skills
