The Associate Audio Engineer is a collaborative member of the Central Production Team, supporting both the broadcast campus (Peoria) and CCV's campuses under the direction of the Lead Audio Engineer. This person has foundational skills in live audio production, is team-oriented, a self-starter, with a high attention to detail and execution.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions
  • Act as primary FOH Audio Engineer for CCV's High School experience at the broadcast campus.
  • Act as Audio Engineer (A1, A2, Broadcast) at CCV Campuses and events as assigned.
  • In collaboration with the Central Audio Team, ensure production environments are patched, clean, labeled, programmed, and weekend ready on time and with excellence.
  • Assist in ensuring audio systems are in good function, up to date, and clean.
  • Assist in coaching, training, and supporting volunteers and contractors.
  • Act as event support, producer, or tech as assigned.
  • Communicate with Event Coordinators to determine production and media needs. โ€ข Manage projects as assigned.
  • Assist in implementing production designs, campus launches, systems upgrades, and other team projects.
  • Make recommendations on updates and areas of innovation.
  • Actively develop skill sets, growing as a live production professional

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a live production environment.
  • Demonstrates technical competency in console management, audio systems, and standard practices in live audio production.
  • Experience mixing FOH, MON, or Broadcast in a live music environment.
  • Proficient in wireless coordination, basic audio networking protocols, managing patch lists, and troubleshooting audio systems.
  • Preferred experience with the Avid ecosystem of live audio consoles (S6L, Profile, SC48), Shure wireless systems, L'Acoustics systems, Waves plug-ins, and Smaart software.
