Shape the Sound of Victory at Auburn Athletics!
Are you passionate about audio engineering and live sports? Auburn University is seeking a dynamic Athletics Audio Systems Engineer to elevate the fan experience across premier venues like Jordan-Hare Stadium, Neville Arena, and Plainsman Park.
This is more than a job-it's a front-row seat to the action. You'll be the technical force behind the sound that energizes thousands of fans, athletes, and alumni. From game days to special events, your work will help create unforgettable moments for the Auburn Family.
Responsibilities
  • Operates and maintains new and existing audio systems during events at Auburn Athletics venues, including but not limited to Neville Arena, Jordan-Hare Stadium, and Plainsman Park.
  • Collaborates with the Special Events Team to lead all in-venue audio production needs, delivering exceptional sound for third-party events inside Auburn Athletics venues.
  • Works alongside the Athletics Department's Facilities and Special Events team to meet audio requirements for events within Athletics facilities.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff as needed on audio system operations.
  • Advises and assists as needed, with all audio-specific assignments for special events outside of Athletics Department's venues.
  • Leads with expert audio guidance, advising on audio system enhancement and design, while working with installation companies to ensure high-quality implementations.
  • Develops audio strategies to enhance in-venue fan experiences and achieve production goals.
  • Assists with budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships for audio equipment and services.
  • Ensures audio systems comply with safety standards and university policies.
  • Stay up to date on audio technology trends and recommend improvements for venue sound quality.
  • Works nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Communications, RTV (Radio, Television, Film), Broadcast Journalism, Information Systems, Recording & Production, Sound & Audio, Music, Show Production, Music Technology, or related field and 2 years of experience in the operation or installation of audio systems in venues, arenas, or stadiums, theaters, or concert halls, or experience with audio systems through work within AV installation and operation companies.
OR
Associate's Degree or Vocational Certificate in Electronics, Engineering, Communications, RTV (Radio, Television, Film), Broadcast Journalism, Information Systems, Recording & Production, Sound & Audio, Music, Show Production, Music Technology, or related field and 4 years of experience in the operation or installation of audio systems in venues, arenas, or stadiums, theaters, or concert halls, or experience with audio systems through work within AV installation and operation companies.
OR
High School Diploma and 6 years of experience in the operation or installation of audio systems in venues, arenas, or stadiums, theaters, or concert halls, or experience with audio systems through work within AV installation and operation companies.
