Driver / Warehouse Assistant

Seeking experienced Driver / Warehouse Assistant for a national company for the Pontiac, MI area.

A national company with a facility in the Pontiac, MI area is currently experienced experienced Driver / Warehouse Assistant for opportunities with their growing team. These are exciting opportunities for candidates seeking a position with opportunities to grow and advance within the organization.

Driver / Warehouse Assistant will be working a full-time, with pay rates anticipated to be $18 - 20 per hour based on each candidate's experience and education. Requirements of the position:

• 2+ years of recent experience in corporate driving with a very good driving record
• Possess or be willing to obtain a chauffeur’s driver’s license; DOT safety card, fork truck license and crane operator’s license.
• Rigging of heavy equipment is required.
• Experience driving with a towing trailer
• Pleasant and courteous manner and be able to relate well to customers, vendors, employees and all groups using the building.
• Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student visas considered).
• Complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, references, etc.

Responsibilities of the position:

• Driving company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner to pick up and deliver materials and equipment.
• Loading and unloading trucks and company’s service vehicles with forklift or crane
• Work in the warehouse and assisting shipping and receiving with tasks
• Work in the shop when needed assisting with task
• Housekeeping in truck bay area, common use areas in the warehouse and regularly maintain the tools and equipment of the trade
