Childcare Center Supervisor

Position Summary
Responsible for the supervision and completion of the Childcare Center department assigned tasks in a timely and responsible manner. Establishes/ maintains a safe, nurturing environment for children in the Childcare Center.
Essential Functions
- Supervises all aspects of daily operations of the Childcare Center including supervision of children, as needed.
- Promotes the Chinook Winds commitment of a safe, secure play and entertainment environment for children and families while attending the Childcare Center.
- Responsible for opening and/ or closing of the Childcare Center.
- Responsible for all essential functions of the Lead and Attendants, as needed.
- Writes the daily and weekly schedule and break schedules of the Childcare Center.
- Required to handle and be accountable for large sums of money.
- Order supplies for the Childcare Center and complete appropriate paperwork for the purchase.
- Ensures knowledge that the Childcare Center operations are following Chinook Winds policies and procedures.
- Participates in solving both guest and employee problems, assuring satisfactory results.
- Recommends measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase quality and enhance job safety.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of goals, objectives, programs, promotions, budgets, and policies and procedures.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
- Handles all personnel issues in a timely manner according to Chinook Winds policies and procedures.
- Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in program processes or services.
- Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs and services.
- Assists in supervision of employees during the shift and ensures appropriate professional standards of behavior, work standards, productivity, practices and customer care.
- Maintains effective communication within the team and attends meetings and training sessions when required.
- Assigns duties, responsibilities, and work areas to employees in accordance with work requirements.
- Assists the Manager in personnel actions such as hiring and termination of staff, consulting with department management and Human Resources as necessary.
- Develops and maintains a teamwork environment in the Childcare Center.
- Assists in Training employees in designated areas and monitors progress With Manager’s direction.
- Completes, monitors, and develops staff through evaluation and development plan in conjunction with Manager.
- Assists in Monitoring staff performance to ensure Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
- Identifies & reports any irregular, unsafe or hazardous conditions within the Childcare Center.
- All other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
WORKERS IN THIS POSITION MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD

Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Two years of experience in childcare operations preferred.
One year of supervisory experience preferred.
Experience in Food and Beverage preferred.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office basic level including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Certificates & Licenses
Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License
Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of employment.
Must obtain a VIP Card within 90 days of employment.
Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certificate within 90 days of employment.

Work Environment
Work will take place in a busy childcare environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Working Conditions
Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
