This position is designed to advance to a Staff Accountant II position to assist with more advanced client related financial accounting, tax, forensic, fraud and valuation related services. This position also allows for growth beyond Staff Accounting for those candidates interested in further promotion and responsibility. We provide relative training beyond the job title required basics to assist in your development and achieving your potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Individual Tax Preparation
- Data Entry and Journal Entries
- Prepares Compiled Financial Statements Including Adjusting Journal Entries, Trial Balance, and Bank Reconciliations
- Analyzes Information and Options by Developing Spreadsheet Reports; Verifying Information
- Prepares Payments by Accruing Expenses; Assigning Account Numbers; Requesting Disbursements; Reconciling Accounts
- Answers Accounting, Tax and Financial Questions by Researching and Interpreting Data
- Provides Accounting Support by Reviewing Financial Information; Converting Data to General Ledger System; Obtaining Supplementary Information for Preparing Financial Statements
- Updates Job Knowledge by Participating in Educational Opportunities; Reading Professional Publications; Maintaining Professional Networks; Participating in Professional Organizations
Necessary Skills and Specifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master's Degree Preferred
- 1-2 years in Public Accounting
- Active CPA Certification Preferred or CPA Exam Candidate
- Attention to Detail
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills and Effective Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Capable of Preserving Confidential or Sensitive Information
- Effective Time Management, Organization and Multi-tasking
- Strong System Software Aptitude
- Prefer Quickbooks, Creative Solutions, Fixed Assets Software Experience
- Strong People Skills to Deal with Prospects and Clients
- Strong Interpersonal Skills in Regards to Staff Communications and Interactions
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and a General Aptitude for Technology
This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission and will be discussed further during the interview. In addition, benefits like sick time are provided. Please provide compensation requirements.
