Senior Accountant

Belzona Inc. is the global leading manufacturer of high performance polymer coatings, with an extensive, worldwide network of over 160 international distributors operating in over 120 countries. We are currently looking to recruit a hardworking, motivated, deadline driven Senior Accountant to join our Florida based team.

ROLE

To be successful in this role, the Senior Accountant should possess the ability to conduct a wide variety of intricate and complex accounting duties and projects. An ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role should be savvy in Excel, have excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

The Senior Accountant should also possess the ability to review and analyze current processes for potential improvements and meet timeliness in completing assignments with deadlines and due dates and have strong integrity and ethics. Must be a self-motivated, reliable individual interested in joining our dynamic organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidate for this position is responsible for supporting the monthly and year-end financial close with the following functions:

• Monthly Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations, to include investigating and solving discrepancies and outstanding checks, or deposits in transit.

• Review Accounts Payable and Receivables for unusual trends and or transactions

• Fixed Asset Management and Schedules, involvement in budgeting, maintenance and coordinating cash requirements for Capitalization Projects

• General Ledger Review and Maintenance for multiple entities with Intercompany transactions

• Prepare and Maintain Monthly supporting schedules for Balance Sheets, to include Prepaids, Credit Cards, Inventory, accrued expenses, intercompany transactions, shareholder loans etc.

· Prepare Adjusting General Journal Entries as needed to present accurate financial statements.

• Financial Analysis of Actual results to budget and identify reasons for variances.

• Responsible for annual corporate filings to include yearly 1099's, monthly sales tax reporting, annual license and permit renewals, vehicle registrations, etc.

• Collect and Maintain copies of Company Contract Commitments from stakeholders.

• Coordinate and Assist Departmental Annual Budget preparation and review with associated stakeholders as needed.

• Assist with year End Audit

• Support Company leaders with financial information request as needed.

• Protect organization's value by following best business practices for internal controls as well as maintaining company information confidential.

• Always willing to assist with Departmental projects and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (G.A.A.P)

• 5 years Plus Work experience in senior level accounting

• Hands-on experience with general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions

• Experience with cash management

• Excellent Working knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop accounting software and Excel spreadsheets, preferable.

· Proficient in English (verbal and written) is a must. Spanish is preferred.

• Experience with Fishbowl, Word, Power point and Teams a plus.

• Strong attention-to-detail

· Ability to complete jobs quickly yet accurately

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Experience, education, certifications, general knowledge, skills and abilities.)

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from accredited US Program, required Excellent Communication Skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) with verbal and written proficiency in English
