Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for a managing a team of individuals as well as managing a wide range of products and will closely work with other coordinators within Supply Chain group as well as Sales and Marketing
  • The Senior Demand Planner will also manage strategic projects, generate reports for Executive Management, and provide insights and direction to cross functional team members
  • A key position working within the supply chain department but also interfacing with Product marketing, sales and account management teams
  • Drive supply chain initiatives focused on enhanced forecasting of sell through and channel inventory to provide insights, recommendations and solutions to the grow the business and manage risk
  • Propose and incubate new strategic planning tools to enhance/improve the current Supply Chain system reporting structure
  • Lead a balanced, collaborative relationship within Supply Chain group and externally with Marketing, Sales, and Logistics along with customers to consistently drive continued process improvement and meet Company objectives
  • Drive actions to achieve company objectives for improved customer service levels and inventory planning leveraging key customer channel data
  • Responsible to work with the largest and most complex accounts with increased accountability in terms of managing Sales FCST, reviewing POS Trends, future promotional activities, Inventory Coverage and SKU Life Cycle Management
  • Responsible for account level forecast, Collaborative Planning Forecast and Replenishment (CPFR) Analysis and Purchase Sales Inventory (PSI) Analysis with Sales team and customer.
  • Attend CPFR meeting with inventory analysts, customer and sales representative (Review of Purchase Order Submission, order forecast, product transition and account issues etc.)
  • Monitor historical sales trend and inventory level to provide Sell Thru and Sell In forecast
  • Report issues and gaps to account managers and perform root cause analysis for resolution
  • KPI Monitoring and Analysis (Sales, aging, forecast accuracy, supply availability, inventory management, weeks of supply)
  • Minimize Compliance Charges, and participate in post-audit reviews (as needed)
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly target analysis and recommend gap closure strategies
  • Communicate delivery schedule with sales and customers.
  • Weekly and daily Supply Chain Management reporting in support of leadership and internal stakeholders
  • Recommend best practices regarding SCM processes and policies. Actively apply a continuous improvement approach to work processes, including process automation, where applicable
  • Support the standardization and implementation of Supply Chain Management operating procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Supply Chain or related operational field
  • Strong knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures related to Supply Chain
  • Excellent Analytical and Computer Skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office Suite.
  • Able to breakdown multi-dimensional issues into clear and concise analysis/output, providing clarity for the business team to take action
  • Must be comfortable presenting to and promoting consensus-building at the Executive level.
  • Occasional Travel will be required (10%-15%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to think creatively and need to provide plenty of initiative and can work unsupervised
  • Project management skill is plus
  • Strong Math, Communication, and Organizational Skills
  • Excellent Attention to Detail
  • Ability to interact with all levels of Management including at the Executive level
  • CSCMP, APICs or other related Supply Chain Management Designation would be preferred

Salary Range: up to $110,000.00 per year contingent upon experience
