Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy team!
Description:
This is a full-time position, normally working 8 or 10 hours a day. The selected applicant will perform a variety of pharmacy related duties such as filling patient medication orders for patients of all ages, send pharmaceutical supplies throughout the hospital under direct pharmacist supervision which requires knowledge and utilization of automated dispensing machines, serve as an important resource/support for nursing staff with Omnicell and savvy cart operation, often assisting with waste, override, returns, and other issues. Other responsibilities include receiving and checking orders from wholesalers and manufacturers, filling medication lists, housekeeping chores, pick-up and delivery of medication orders, as well as filling, stocking, cleaning, checking expiration dates on medications, and removing medications that are expiring.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 or 2 years' experience as hospital pharmacy technician preferred, not required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred, not required.
