Facilities Maintenance Technician

The Gig – Overview

The Facilities Support Technician helps maintain our building premises including the offices, warehouse, common areas, coolers, and production areas. The role’s duties include maintenance of the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, grounds keeping, and indoor and outdoor building repairs.

What You’ll be Up to - Essential Functions

• Coordinates maintenance activities to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
• Conducts regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Fabricates and repairs equipment as needed.
• Collaborates with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
• Creates and implements a preventive maintenance schedule for all machinery based on manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Requests and present quotes from outside contractors for improvements and repairs
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

Superpowers Required - Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Valid Driver License
• 4-5 years of experience in Facilities maintenance
• Previous knowledge of engine mechanics, electrical parts, plumbing, and related functions required.
• Able to lift min. 50 lbs.
• Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of engine mechanics, electrical parts, and related functions
• Project management skills to plan, organize, and execute facility projects.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with safety regulations.
