Impact Dock Works Inc., a pioneer in constructing state-of-the-art loading docks and installing advanced dock equipment, is looking for a skilled Loading Dock Equipment Installer to expand our team. This role is suited for individuals who are mechanically adept and experienced in installing various types of dock equipment, including levelers, vehicle restraints, and doors. About the Role:

As a Loading Dock Equipment Installer, you will be responsible for the installation and setup of essential dock equipment. This includes dock levelers, vehicle restraints, control boxes, dock shelters, and sectional doors, among other items. You will utilize your expertise in welding, electrical and other technical skills to ensure that all installations are conducted proficiently and safely, adhering to all regulatory standards and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent and support our company in the field, through product installations, or replacement, according to the schedules, procedures, and standards

• Install various types of dock equipment accurately and efficiently.

• Perform welding and electrical tasks as needed during installation processes.

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and test all installed equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Provide on-site guidance and training to less experienced team members.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and safety standards.

• Travel to multiple job sites as required.

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical background with proven experience in equipment installation.

• Proficient in welding and/or performing electrical installations.

• Reliable transportation to access different job sites within the region.

• Strong work ethic and a proven track record of reliability.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

• Willingness to train and work collaboratively with other team members.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

• Required to climb and stand on ladders, sometimes for extended periods of time

• Required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Skills Needed:

• Welding experience

• Commercial electrical experience

• Operating equipment (scissor lifts, skid steer etc)

Work Schedule:

• Full-time shifts are available between business hours of 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday with potential overtime
