We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer-Test Fixtures to join our team! You will conduct tests to determine the quality of materials and finished products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Test Fixtures
Responsibilities:
- Take full mechanical and electrical ownership of our test machinery optimizing it to become the premier testing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with pyrolysis and operations engineering teams to leverage the test machinery for actionable insights, primarily aimed at enhancing current operational equipment.
- Maintain stringent data collection standards to ensure consistency across tests, facilitating confident comparison of results.
- Coordinate with technicians to execute tests and equipment turnarounds.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in hardware development, preferably with a focus on test benches.
- Self-motivated with the ability to identify mechanical enhancements for improved operability and the skills to implement them effectively.
- Demonstrated capability to drive continuous improvement and development of hardware.
- Proficiency in constructing data collection frameworks and meticulous attention to detail for consistent data capture.
- Hands-on approach with equipment involvement exceeding fifty percent of the time.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Practical experience with test setups and associated infrastructure, including software integration.
- Experience in executing tests and test campaigns.
- Knowledge of pyrolysis, gasification, or other thermal conversion processes.
- Familiarity with Linux, Python, and scripting languages.
- Experience with SaaS tools like Datadog and/or time series databases.
Salary: $98,000 - $134,000 per year, depending on experience, industry tenure, education, and location.
