The Role:

The Regional Sales Director will demonstrate a passion for the social entertainment industry, a proven record in event sales and strong leadership skills. They will support a team of hospitality professionals in multiple markets who care deeply about creating an elevated, one-of-a-kind event experience. The Regional Sales Director will work closely with sales teams from multiple locations to monitor sales performance and mentor, coach, and train on all aspects of event sales to drive event revenue for the company and build the Puttshack brand.

Reports to: National Director of Sales

Position Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
  • Oversee the development of sales teams for up to 10 Puttshack locations, motivating teams to ensure they are meeting or exceeding goals and delivering the highest level of customer service to our guests
  • Provide support in all areas of outreach and prospecting, including how to identify qualified prospects, develop a leads list, use social media to connect with prospects, cold call and warm call, connect with local hotel teams, CVBs, Chamber of Commerce and other professional organizations
  • Offer training and resources to improve skills in relationship selling, strategic selling and upselling
  • Guide teams on how to generate new leads through referrals from past clients and following up on repeat business and lost business
  • Work with sales teams after opening to develop Quarterly Strategic Plan, and following up on regular basis to ensure teams are properly executing
  • Review Quarterly Recap Sales Reports with teams that include event highlights, wins and losses, sales performance and future goals
  • Assist sales teams on full venue buyout requests, special requests and guest recovery when necessary
  • Role play with sales teams to ensure they are comfortable with cold calling, networking, office visits and selling in different scenarios
  • Reward and recognize sales managers for outstanding guest service and feedback on post event surveys
  • Support sales teams with goal setting and short term/long term forecasting
  • Assist Home Office in creating SOP documents and event sales training materials for event sales and operations departments
  • Collaborate with the National Sales and Marketing Team to develop sales campaigns, create sales collateral and marketing assets and identify sponsorship opportunities in local markets
  • Travel approximately 25-30% to designated locations to work one-on-one with sales teams and understand local market
  • Other projects or duties as assigned


Required Skills and Experience:
  • 7+ years of event sales and leadership experience as a Regional Sales Director or Director of Sales in a high volume ($2M+ annual event revenue) restaurant, or entertainment environment (Multi unit experience required)
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing a team
  • Strong knowledge of prospecting and outbound sales strategies, as well as relationship selling and strategic selling
  • Financial skills including budget management and forecasting
  • Effective troubleshooting abilities and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, time management and organization skills
  • Ability to go above and beyond, demonstrating meaningful care in everything you do
  • A high level of emotional intelligence and overall self-awareness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and One Drive
  • Tripleseat or other catering software proficiency
  • Resides in a city with a Puttshack venue
  • Ability to travel and live within reasonable distance to a major airport
  • This position must pass a post-offer background check

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree or higher
  • Experience in selling and leading social entertainment concepts

Physical Requirements:
  • Physical activities on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; frequent use of telephone/video conferencing and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means.
  • Some walking and lifting, up to 25 lbs. may be required.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.
