A well-established steel company is looking to hire an Industrial Forklift Operator in the Lakeland, FL area. As an Industrial Forklift Operator that has a valid CDL A drivers license you will be responsible for operating a heavy duty forklift to haul finished steel to and from the shop. You will also be driving flat bed to and from rail yards. If you can operate a forklift and carry a valid CDL class A, have a great attitude and strong work ethic, we want to hear from you! What You’ll Be Doing
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport raw materials and equipment to and from rail yards.
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
Who We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a heavy duty forklift operator required
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Excellent physical condition and coordination
- Steel toe boots or shoes required
What You Can Expect
- $23.00/hour, starting pay rate
- Typical schedule of Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
