YANG'S Braised Chicken Rice at Fairfax farmers market

Our signature dish is the lifeblood behind what makes the Yang’s experience so unique, and the position that most ensures the success of our dish is our Cook. A qualified candidate for this position should be able to show a track record of paying close attention to detail in previous employment.

At least one year of cooking experience is preferable. The kitchen at Yang’s Braised Chicken Rice is a fast-moving environment, and as such, our cooks should be able to handle a high volume of plates on the stove and make sure that each dish is prepared according to the guidelines handed down by the cooperate team.

Job Responsibilities:

- Need to learn how to make our signature dish as well as how to prep for the dish.

- Make sure enough ginger, mushrooms, and Serrano Chili are cut to specific measurements and ready for use.

- Make sure containers are prepped with cut chicken, ginger, and mushrooms.

- Communicate with the cook to make sure that enough bowls have been pressure cooked and stored properly according to food safety requirements by the cook.

- Be in contact with the Cashier to make sure rice is always ready in the rice warmer, if not make more rice.

- Make sure the prep station is clean at all times.

- Report to restaurant supervisor on items that need to be reordered.

- Prepare our signature dish to perfection

- Follow all measurements to make the dish. NEVER CHANGE THE MEASUREMENTS.

- Make sure the kitchen is clean at all times

- Prep all items needed to prepare the dish

- Communicate with service staff to improve service speed

- Ensure food safety at all times in the kitchen. FOLLOW FOOD SAFETY PROCEDURES AT ALL TIMES.

- Help with other station whenever needed

- Be responsible for packing To Go and Web Orders.

- Enter log to keep track of the prepared bowls, wasted bowls, inventory control

- Responsible for entering inventory into POS on delivery day.
