Mechanic/Assembler

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Able to decipher blueprints explaining how to build equipment.
- Math skills including fractions and angles.
- Ability to read tape measures and angle finders.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.
- Physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down, and overhead.
- Ability to operate various shop tools including power and manually operated wrenches.
- Maintains/produces a level of output that will minimize production delays.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete required test documentation including test reports, failed test reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
- Assemble and test hydraulic assemblies according to Columbia specifications.
- Manufacturing hydraulic hose assemblies
- Make up tube assemblies.
- Welds/Fits in a manufacturing environment.
- Communicates effectively with other workers.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Respectfully takes direction from supervisor or manager.
- Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
- Assist FSR team commissioning, inspections, troubleshoot and repair of equipment at customer location.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
5 + years of industry experience preferred.

Education and/or Equivalent Experience
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Some technical training and education preferred.
Training, Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
Required Licenses: CI: FCAW certificate
Training: CI: Forklift, Crane, hydraulic, electrical
Critical Skills
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, analyze, and effectively present information.
Mathematical Skills: Advanced mathematical concepts
Computer Skills: Basic computer skill required.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, draw valid conclusions, interpret, and collect data.
Physical Demands
Occasionally: Stand and lift 35 pounds frequently.
Regularly: Use hands to finger, handle or feel, and travel offsite/field service, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach with hands and arms
Frequently: Sit and talk or hear
Vision Requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth and ability to adjust focus.
