Clinical Educator Registered Nurse

Responsibilities:

• Precepts and orients new and existing staff, providing ongoing evaluations, performing field visits and providing educational sessions to ensure competency in the home health setting as per agency standards, federal and state regulations, ANA Standards of Practice for Home Health and Best Practice.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Assists Agency leadership with achieving corporate goals, analyzing data, improving patient care outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Participates in Agency quality assessmentperformance improvement initiatives.
• Ensures that staff complete and maintain accurate, complete and timely documentation reflecting the assessment, intervention, education and evaluation according to Federal, Department of Health and The Joint Commission standards.
• Assists in the recruitment, selection, development and retention of nursing staff.
• Assists in coordinating the experiences for RN, medical and pharmacy students and educating the Agency s home health aides.
• Assists in developing, researching and maintaining standardized resources and patient education materials.
• Assists the Supervisor of Staff Development in designing and implementing orientation, competency and disease management programs.
