Our client, an excellent company in Albany, NY area is actively seeking to add a Project Architect to the team. The Project Architect is responsible for the delivery of the project through the design, production, and construction phases. Works directly with the senior leader, project manager and project designer in confirming the design program, scope of work and delivery requirements. The Project Architect oversees the production and coordination of the design and construction documents. Works with the staff and consultants to ensure the drawing and specifications are coordinated and properly represents the design intent.

Responsibilities:

• Set up list of deliverables and work with project manager to establish delivery team
• Ensures that governmental regulations, zoning & building codes, and current building industry standards are met with compliance.
• Communication with the project and consultant team
• Lead the design team through the design development & construction documentation process
• Meet delivery schedule
• Quality Control review of project documentation
• Develop & coordinate technical specifications
• Maintain ongoing, positive, and productive client relationships
• Maintain Office Record set of Documents
• Construction Administration activities including RFI’s, Shop Drawing and submittal review, clarifications, Change Orders, and site observation reports.
• Assist in close out procedures.
• Sharing professional knowledge, quality assurance, motivating others and establishing a successful project team for assigned projects

Requirements:

• AA, BA/BS, or MS degree in Architecture
• Five (5+) years in the practice of architecture.
• Architectural registration license
• Management skills & experience to lead staff team, consultants and maintain client relationships
• QA/QC review of the work of others
• Revit proficiency
• Computer skills: Adobe, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Project.
• Strong verbal & written communication, and presentation skills
