Public Works Summer Seasonal

Summit County is currently recruiting for summer seasonal help in Public Works. Will be working 40 hours per week (typically 4 -10 hr./days) from spring thru early fall. Will perform working level tasks as needed to construct, maintain, or repair county roads, service systems, including work zone traffic control flagging or spraying weeds on County roads and properties. May use small tools, sprayers, equipment, flagging panel, and other hand tools. Training will include flagging class and chemical safety if assigned to spray weeds. Salary will be based on experience.
Salary Range: $20.00/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old with high school diploma or receiving high school diploma this spring.
- Must have a valid Utah Driver’s License.
- Must attend a work zone traffic control flagging course and receive a Flagging Certification Card. (Class will be at the County’s Expense.)
