Supervisor: VP, Commercial Gate Systems

Position Summary:

AT&I’s greatest strength is our people, and we are actively recruiting a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Gates Service Technician to join our amazing team. In this role, you will install, service, and support commercial gate systems and telephone entry units. As a Gates Service Technician, you are part of a dynamic team that will allow you to grow as AT&I grows.

Key Responsibilities:

· Respond to routine and some non-routine customer service calls, scheduled preventative maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours service calls on a timely basis; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems.

· Installs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of commercial gate operators and telephone entry units.

· Repairs equipment utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.

· Use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

· Identifies and resolves problems for many types of service calls including emergency and after-hours calls; analyzes repair requirements and provides customers with appropriate solutions; completes necessary repairs and replacements as needed; exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

· Completes accurate and detailed service reports for customers and AT&I promptly to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.

· Acts as our customers' best service provider to ensure that AT&I Systems is the customers' first choice for service.

· Executes all service calls in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations as well as company health and safety policies and procedures. Uses solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

· Consult with AT&I technical support personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance, and warranty work.

· May advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques, and standards as well as suggestions for product improvements.

· Using technical knowledge, skills, and experience, acts as a mentor to less experienced staff.

· Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Knowledge and Skills

· High School diploma required; Military training in electronics or Technical School certification is preferred.

· 2 years’ commercial gates system and telephone entry system experience preferred. We will consider training the right individual, who is eager to learn and ready to work.

· General construction knowledge is preferred.

· Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.

· Ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.

· To be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision.

· Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).

· Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Solid organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

· A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

· Ability to travel locally to job sites regularly.

· Able to lift 50 lbs.
