Position Overview
Responsible for prospecting sales opportunities and providing irrigation service throughout a specified territory by maintaining and developing relationships with golf courses and SF&G customers.
What You'll Do
•Possess a strong fundamental understanding of large commercial turf irrigation systems and central control systems
•Possess a strong fundamental understanding of associated and allied product applications related to large commercial irrigation systems
•Communicate regularly with Golf & Grounds Sales Manager and Irrigation Service Manager
•Work as part of a coordinated sales team selling multiple solutions to customer
•Maintain a list of active projects and prospective targets
•Ability to accurately test, troubleshot, diagnose and repair all Golf & Grounds and LPG products
•Program all software for Golf & Grounds and LPG products
•Perform radio site surveys
•Program radios to licensed frequencies for customers
•Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment serviced
•Document all service calls, diagnosis and repairs performed in CMR
•Submit complete and accurate billing for parts and labor
•Responsible for maintaining and ordering mobile inventory
•Participate in available company sponsored training to develop skills and knowledge
•Perform all duties in a professional and safe manner
Requirements
Skills We Are Seeking
•Minimum of 2 years' experience with commercial irrigation systems and maintenance repair
•Proficient in Microsoft Products- WORD, Excel, Power Point
•Ability to effectively speak in public and conduct product presentations and/or conduct training in a professional setting
•Ability to determine a customer's area of need and recommend a solution and support
•Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks and work schedule
•Working knowledge of electrical, radio propagation and hydraulics related to irrigation systems including values, satellites, and pumps
•Must have the ability to read and analyze documents and procedure manuals
•Aptitude for delivering top-notch customer service
•Capable of routinely handling items weighing up to 75 pounds
•Ability to pass and maintain hiring standards for mobile service (background, MVR, drug testing and insurance standards)
•This position requires daily travel throughout the specified territory with some overnight travel for customer visits, national trade shows and regional training events
