Job description

Golf Service Ambassador

Bella Ridge Golf Club is excited to announce the career opportunity of Golf Service Ambassador!

Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing a premier club and golf experience for members and guests. The Golf Service Ambassador will provide bag, golf cart, range, valet and caddy services to members and guests.

Job Responsibilities

  • Displays a professional appearance and attitude; remains courteous to members and guests at all times.
  • Safely valets member and guest vehicles as needed.
  • Brings golf carts from cart shelter to cart staging area, checks golf carts for tire pressure, brake operation and other safety considerations.
  • Loads bags from bag storage room onto golf carts.
  • Sets up and breaks down practice areas on a daily basis.
  • Transports range balls to each end of range and fills appropriate containers.
  • Maintains proper appearance and supply levels for all practice areas. Services golfers while practicing.
  • Anticipates and complies with members and guest needs while using learning center, monitor first tee, as needed.
  • Operates ball picker on range to retrieve balls. Sorts and washes range balls.
  • Removes bags from golf carts and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room.
  • Returns golf carts to cart shelter; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc., from golf carts and saves reusable items; checks carts for damage; washes golf cart with pressure cleaner; parks cart in shelter and connects charger cable.
  • Advises Pro Shop of items found on the course and destined for the lost and found.
  • Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club's rental equipment.
  • Provides on course player assistance (caddie duties) as needed.
  • Maintains security, cleanliness of and order of all golf equipment in storage.
  • Tows cart to cart maintenance facility when cart breaks down, assisting in maintenance and repair when necessary.
  • Performs golf club repair as needed.
  • Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned (golf shop coverage & assistance).

Job Education and Experience Requirements

  • Previous golf course experience required.
  • Previous valet and or caddie experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry software programs preferred.
  • Member of the PGA or PGA Apprentice program actively working to attain PGA Professional status preferred.
  • Knowledge of the game of golf and its rules preferred

Licenses and Special Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Able to meet and perform physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
  • Frequent repetitive motions.
  • Continuous standing and walking.
