Job description

The Golf Cart Attendant supports the Golf Shop Manager and the Assistant Golf Shop Sales & Marketing Manager by helping with outside golf operations. This includes greeting customers, assigning carts, keeping carts clean, and assisting with tournaments. Essential duties include the following.

Greets all customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner in accordance with all facility policies and procedures. Responsible for the daily operations of range ball recovery utilizing both mechanical and hand machinery and equipment. Responsible for the collection of, organization of, and cleanliness of all range baskets used for ball transportation according to policies and procedures established by management.

Responsible for washing the range balls to maintain cleanliness and usability. Responsible for cart cleanliness, cart supplies, cart condition, and fueling. As well as the rotation of golf carts to ensure uniform usage amongst the fleet.

Responsible for keeping the outside area open, neat, and clean, including arranging carts neatly to avoid clogging the passages. Follows procedures for proper opening and closing of the cart barn and range operations. Inspects the condition of golf carts and all accessories (including but not limited to coolers and sand bottles) with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance.

Assists golf shop personnel in the tournament setup of golf carts and range operations. Assists with keeping all working areas neat and clean, free of trash and waste. Assists in enforcing all course rules and regulations.

Refers all problems, issues, and complaints to the manager and/or assistant manager. Tracks and reports on the need for supplies necessary for day-to-day operations for his or her given areas. Ensures all water coolers are clean and full throughout the day.

Perform other duties as assigned.
