Attorneys are mentored by senior partners and supported through the collaborative efforts of highly skilled legal assistants, paralegals, and law clerks. Our offices are centrally located in the Inner Harbor area and within a professional building that offers two on-site restaurants, a well-maintained and patrolled parking garage, and an on premise 24-hour gym with private shower facilities available exclusively to tenant employees at no cost.

Duties

As a Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for handling a variety of legal tasks related to litigation cases. Your duties will include:

- Conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis

- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs

- Assisting with case management and organization

- Participating in client meetings and interviews

- Conducting negotiations on behalf of clients

- Preparing for and attending court hearings and trials

- Collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategies

- Providing legal administrative support as needed

Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is required

- Admission to the Maryland bar

- Admission to the DC bar is a plus

- Strong legal research and writing skills

- Experience with litigation procedures and practices

- Familiarity with legal drafting and document preparation

- Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis

- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Please note that this is not an entry-level position. We are seeking candidates with prior litigation experience.
