Project Electrical Engineer - Substations

This work can be performed at any of our four branches: Price, UT - Rock Springs, WY - Idaho Falls, ID - San Antonio, TX.

Our client is looking for a bright and experienced Project Electrical Engineer to join the team. We are a prominent construction organization that specializes in electrical engineering solutions. This person will be responsible for designing and implementing tailored substation solutions for our clients. You will play an important part in creating the future of our initiatives and guaranteeing their success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with civil and structural teams to guarantee design compliance and integrity.
• Create physical designs, grounding designs, and HV/MV designs according on customer requirements.
• Make schematic designs and control systems (P&C) to improve substation performance.
• Conduct system studies and computations utilizing modeling tools, such as short-circuit analysis, load flow analysis, and grounding analysis.
• Calculate AC station service and DC battery sizing for substation functionality.
• Implement lightning protection techniques to safeguard substation infrastructure
• Create raceway/cable schedules and manage MV switchgear/E-house design.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience using BlueBeam, Visual, and Microsoft Office products.
• Requirements: 5 years of consulting expertise in power engineering, with a focus on substation design. Strong understanding of substation design concepts and electrical distribution systems.
• Proficiency with ETAP software is an advantage.
• Not remote - some travel required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
