St. Michael's Catholic Academy + St. Gabriel's Catholic School are outstanding co-educational Independent Catholic schools serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade in Austin, Texas. The Lower School comprises PreK 3-4th grades, the Middle School houses grades 5-8, and the Upper School contains grades 9-12. Position:

Our Lower and Middle School campus is seeking Summer Camp Teachers/Counselors for our PK3-4th grade STEM-based summer camps and our Academic Summer Camp week. Summer Camp Teachers at St. Gabriel's Catholic School are professional and certified teachers with a love for children in all their developmental stages and a demonstrated passion for elementary and/or middle school students.

The ideal candidate, therefore, has a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a classroom with energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate is proficient in teaching elementary and/or middle school English/Language Arts and/or Mathematics. Additionally, the ideal candidate is knowledgeable about curriculum and is interested in delivering a balanced yet differentiated approach for our students, as well as positively supporting parents in their journeys with children.

Details:

Each week, campers will face new and different challenges to solve while growing in imagination and creativity, building confidence, and learning important lessons about perseverance and resilience. Campers will be grouped by grade level to ensure activities are age-appropriate, fun, and stimulating.

This position is stipend based at $700/week for half days, either Mornings 9-12pm or Afternoons 1-4pm Monday through Friday. Camp takes place throughout June & July, being off the 1st week in July.
