Project Engineer - On Site

OVERVIEW

Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to join the Specialty Products Team at their offices in Fenton, MO. This position is part of a team that is responsible for providing fired boilers and auxiliary equipment. The expectation is that this will be a hybrid position depending on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Project Engineer reports to the Director of Specialist Products and will be the main technical lead on boiler design projects and will serve as the main technical contact for the Customer.
• The Project Engineer will manage Supplier Subcontracts through specification, requisitioning, and fabrication in a manner that meets all contract specifications, including company standard specifications, and such that equipment is delivered on time or ahead of the project scheduled delivery dates.
• The Project Engineer will provide technical customer support for activities from the start of the project through delivery of equipment to the jobsite as well as providing support to the Field Project Engineer as needed once equipment starts to deliver to the jobsite and maintain customer relationships through quality support while minimizing costs and risk to the company.
• Travel up to 15%.

MUST HAVE

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience reviewing contracts and project specifications and reviewing technical aspects of supplier proposals.
• Experience with boilers & auxiliary equipment.
• Experience in managing supplier subcontracts through specification, requisitioning, and fabrication.
