Warehouse Receiving Clerk
- Full-Time
PURPOSE:
To complete all tasks following procedures for receipt of program and special orders for Brand Addition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to company policies – “All receipts within 24 hours of arrival”
- Unload and sort all deliveries
- Verify receipt against pack list and put away stock
- Alert buyer of +/- receipt variances
- Double check variances on receipts
- Log and report daily production numbers
- Bar-code and tag product per guidelines
- Receive inventory into system and turn in paperwork to appropriate department
- Maintain receiving log on all miscellaneous shipments
- Assist in researching +/- inventory
- Assist with restocking
- Attend and participate in weekly department meetings
- Assist with cycle counting inventory when needed
- Assist with aisle setup
- Assist with kit projects when needed
- Process customer returns when needed
- Complete daily time sheet and turn in weekly to Distribution Team Leader
- Any other tasks that are deemed necessary to reach the goals of the department.
PRIMARY INTERACTIONS:
Daily interaction with Distribution Team, Customer Service, Fulfillment Team, Warehouse Manager and VP of Operations. Periodic interaction with Accounting and Upper Management.
Time Allocation:
Receiving inventory – 75%
Restocking – 15%
Miscellaneous Projects – 10%
COMPETENCIES:
- Basic math skills
- Detail-oriented
- Quality-conscious
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and Outlook
- Certified forklift driver
- Excellent understanding of company goals, department goals, and processes and procedures
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED
Distribution industry experience preferred
Experience with JDA – Ecommerce a plus
