DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL with ACRE, APSE, or CESP Certification
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist our individuals with their daily living needs, ensuring their safety, health, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Actively assist our individuals with their individualized plans for daily living.
• Ensure our individuals are safe, healthy, and living in a clean environment.
• Assist with the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community outings.
• Shop for the homes necessities such as food, clothing, and household items.
• Schedule and transport our individuals to doctors appointments, shopping trips, and day programs/schools.
• Interviews with the person, family, friends, and others who know the
• person well
• Observation of the person in a familiar place and activities
• Observation of the person in an unfamiliar place and activity
• Identification of the persons strong interests, existing strengths, and
• skills transferable to IIE or SE
• Identification of the conditions necessary for success based on experience shared by person, by others who know the person well, and by observation during the Discovery process.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older (required)
• Minimum of High School Diploma/GED
• ACRE, APSE, or CESP Certified
• Have a Current, Non-Provisional Drivers License valid in the state of operation.
• Experience with the developmentally disabled or as a caretaker is preferred.
• Empathetic and have a team approach to care for the individuals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.
• High level of comfort with hands-on hygiene care (including diapering and showering)
• Willing to undergo drug testing and background check.

For our those who will be assigned to Discovery or Job Development clients, you must have any of the following certifications:

• Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators Certificate (ACRE)
• Association of People Supporting Employment Certificate (APSE)
• Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP)
