DUTIES:

Responsible for operation of all phases of a club and the utilization of related facilities and other resources. Overseas the food preparation, dining room, bar or cocktail lounge, special party catering, and maintenance of adequate food and beverage stock. Recommends operational improvements, schedules all activities, and ensures proper collection, accounting, and safeguarding of funds. Reviews operational and maintenance expenditures and develops the club budget. Supervises assigned employees and is responsible for their training.

Implements higher level directives, formulates procedures and programs to ensure high standards of food and beverage, recreational and entertainment/promotional programs. Establishes, reviews, and evaluates menu planning, catering and food service, purchase of supplies, equipment, and materials. Participates in establishing financial goals commensurate with market analysis of area. Adheres to proper military and civilian protocol, and coordinates with military and civilian leadership in connection with Club activities.

Plan, organize work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Prepares internal office financial plans and related records and reports, and exercises authority on approved budget. Manages new property resources and may provide direction on facility renovations and improvements. Develops long range plans in conjunction with internal operating directives and exercises internal personnel management authorities as delegated by the higher-level supervisor with regard to subordinate supervisors and employees in the office. Directly or indirectly through subordinate supervisors supervises employees. Counsels and trains employees, schedules and directs work, appraises work performance. Approves or disapproves leave, and personnel actions. Must be alert to alcohol abuse and take appropriate action. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies, equipment, and property to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste, and abuse.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles, and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

Qualification Requirements:

Minimum:

1. Four years’ experience that demonstrates progressively responsible administrative, professional, work

involving one or more functions of club operations. Including two years at the supervisory level.

2. Must demonstrate ability to deal effectively with all management and patrons and communicate orally and

in writing.

3. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to the minimum):

1. Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures.

2. Experience in the operation of management of a civilian or military club or restaurant or golf course.

3. A four-year degree from an accredited college with a major in one or a combination of hospitality, culinary,

restaurant or club management, or business management.
