Looking for an IT position where your work truly makes a difference? The East Bonner County Library District is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to help support and maintain the technology systems that keep our libraries connected, secure, and serving the public.

A Sample of What You Will Do (See the Job Description for the complete list of duties)

  • Support and maintain district technology infrastructure including computers, servers, networking equipment, and related systems
  • Administer Microsoft 365 including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and user accounts
  • Support network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and cabling
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade technology equipment and systems
  • Provide responsive support to staff and patrons
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printing, login, and network issues
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and security best practices
  • Help manage UniFi networking and security systems
  • Participate in security reviews and technology improvement efforts
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures
  • Assist with staff training and technology onboarding
  • Develop practical support resources and user guides

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to users of varying technical skill levels
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft 365 administration experience
  • Experience with networking, wireless systems, or cybersecurity tools
  • Familiarity with UniFi networking products
  • Experience supporting public-sector, educational, or nonprofit organizations
  • Experience supporting Apple or Linux systems
