FACILITES & MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

Objective:

Maintain, upgrade and repair of the facilities and equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Working knowledge of the use of hand and power tools

• Some experience with facilities and maintenance

Job Requirements:

• Must be customer service oriented

• Must be able to crouch, kneel, crawl, and climb

• Must be able to lift, pull and push a minimum of 50 pounds

• Having working knowledge of the use of hand and power tools

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written technical instructions

• Ability to diagnose and perform basic repairs to facilities and production equipment

• Working with general industrial maintenance fluids such as hydraulic oils, solvents, petroleum’s

• Willing to assist with blood borne pathogen clean ups

• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays when required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• General cleaning and disinfecting

• Snow removal, salt application and grounds maintenance

• Compact cardboard

• Remove trash

• Scrub floors

• Stock bathrooms with supplies, clean bathrooms as required

• Interior and exterior building repairs and painting

• Organization and disposal of skids and scrap steel

• Fill out logs and paperwork as required

• Professional repair of drywall and painting/caulking

• Perform interior and exterior rounds of the facilities to identify and address issues

• Perform on time preventative maintenance per issues tasks

• Perform basic repairs to facilities and equipment including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and

hydraulic

• Maintain PM system for closing out PM’s, enter and close of WO’s and report anomalies to meet metrics

• Maintain spare parts inventory for all existing equipment and enter POs to maintain inventory levels

• Coordinate with contractors including cleaning supplies, repairs, and disposal

• Participate in 5S activities including daily area cleanup and facility cleanup efforts

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and workplace practices

• Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required, including filling in for production when necessary

• Work in a safe manner, follow all safety policies and procedures including utilizing proper safety equipment

Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00/hr

Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM
