Executive Chef/Food Service Manager at VICTORS RESTAURANT & BAR

Victors Restaurant & Bar in Dallas, TX is looking for one Executive Chef/Food Service Manager to join our 23 person strong team. We are located on 3022 West Davis St. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged.

Responsibilities

• Create specialty dishes and develop recipes to be used in dining facilities (portfolio required)
• Test cooked food by tasting and smelling it to ensure palatability and flavor conformity
• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations
• Manage vendor services, schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity 
• Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner
• Manage and maintain logs/records required by local, state, and federal government agencies regarding sanitation or food subsidies
• Perform task such as food prep, cooking, and cleanup
• Maintain food and equipment inventories, and keep inventory records
• Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and coordinate a variety of services, such as waste removal and pest control
• Train employees and monitor operations to ensure customers expectations are exceeded
• Manage employees to provide exceptional food quality in a timely and cost effective method
• Implement health and safety protocols

Qualifications

• At least 2 yrs chef/food service management experience (creating dishes, plating, and cooking experience) portfolio required
• Experience working in related field
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
• Able to manage and lead a team to success

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Mondays. Compensation is $21.00 - $25.00/hour.
