Job Summary:

As Sr. Business Analyst/Technical Project Manager within the Business Process and Quality (BPQ) Department (Laufer’s “Think Tank” and Innovation Center), you are responsible to analyze processes and challenges, develop solutions (usually IT related, but not always) with all stakeholders on all levels in the organization, and manage projects for all sorts of improvements to the company.

Responsibilities (other duties as assigned):

  • Fully understand and document business processes and challenges from the stakeholder. 
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to determine priorities and challenges.
  • Define requirements, gather best practices, develop solutions, determine and quantify benefits, costs and risks, and define measurable success criteria.
  • Create a project plan with involved stakeholders (including outside vendors on occasions) and coordinate activities between all involved departments. 
  • Manage projects from beginning to end, including status reporting, issue tracking, verification, risk management, stakeholder and vendor manager, schedule management, training, etc.
  • If solution is software, develop specification including detail level of integration in existing systems.
  • Create documentations, presentations and other require documents. 

Personality:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship building, presentation, influencing and conflict resolution skills are a must.
  • Strong ability to adapt and simplify communication according to the audience. 
  • Outgoing, solution oriented, and proactive personality. 
  • Detail-oriented, analytic, and driven to full understand the story behind number, patterns, or behavior.
  • Hands on personality with no hesitation to roll up one's sleeves, run some database queries, configure systems, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required to create presentations, plans, and documentation.

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in global logistics with detailed business knowledge in both logistics and brokerage products and processes
  • At least 5 years Software Project experience (e.g., introducing new software/tools)
  • SQL at least a medium levels
  • Change management skills (structured & systematic approach to project management, analysis, design, testing & change management processes)
  • Ability to run complex projects with minimal supervision & guidance
  • Experienced in working in teams across different locations and different time zones.

Salary range: $100,000-135,000 depending on experience.
