Dry Storage Associate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Spotting Forklift Operators in dry storage

2. Assists with placing vessels safely in to dry storage

3. Cleaning vessels when removed from dry storage

4. Routinely operates, motor and water vehicles and other various mechanized equipment

5. Provides marina related duties such as securing boats, fuel, black water pump outs, connecting and monitoring utility services, and waste disposal when not working in dry storage.

6. Provides the highest level of customer and guest services, expedites any and all requests from vessels including transport of patrons and baggage to and from dockside, delivery of provisions and packages

7. Carries out routine cleaning duties that meet established quality standards for all marina related operations; insures the recognized standards are maintained and that quality, and delivery commitments are met

8. Assists refueling vessels when required at the fuel dock, ensures safe fueling procedures

9. Maintains a friendly, professional working relationship with co-workers, members, guests and vendors.

10. Cleans restrooms, docks, walkways, equipment and all other areas of the marina

11. Demonstrates safe work habits at all times, including the proper care and use of all tools, equipment, vehicles, hazardous materials, and observes all established health and safety regulations.

12. Provides safe disposal of all waste material.

13. All other duties as assigned by management

OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work performed and composed of a variety of different tasks, calling for use of judgment; and compliance with policies and procedures. Must be both a team player and self-starter.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Must adaptable to a fast paced environment

2. Ability to work independently or as a part of a team

3. Some knowledge of marina operations or willingness to be trained in them

4. Effective communicator who can collaborate with teammates and guests

5. Enjoys providing exceptional customer service

6. Ability to organize and prioritize work

7. Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy season;

8. Previous maintenance experience required;
