Job Description

Job Opening: I am seeking a full-time forester for Gregg Forest Services, a consulting forestry
business in Southeastern Indiana.
Requirements:

Must have taken Dendrology
Forest Measurements
Soils
Forestry Summer Practicum
Silviculture
2 or 4 year degree from SAF accredited college. B.S. Degree in Forestry would be great.

It would also be beneficial if the candidate has these qualifications: Desirable but not necessary.

Pesticide License in Forest Applications
Knows how to use a chainsaw
Has some forest work experience
I am looking for a hard-working graduate who is interested in doing forest management for private landowners.

Duties include:

Timber marking
Invasive species removal
Timber stand improvement
Forest inspections and inventories
Forest stewardship plans
Marking boundary lines
Tree plantings and plantation maintenance
Office work
Prescribed burning

The primary counties Gregg Forest Services works in are Harrison, Clark, Floyd, Scott, Washington,
Jackson, Orange, Crawford, Perry, and Spencer in Indiana.
Full-time employee will be given 2 weeks of Paid Vacation the 1st year, and paid holidays.
Raises and bonuses given on work quality and performance.
