Segment Market Analyst

Reporting directly to a Global Market Segment VP, the Segment Market Analyst (SMA) is a developmental commercial role focused on business analytics, project business case development, market data mining and competitive analysis. Potential candidates for sales, senior marketing and business management roles are to be considered in these positions.

JOBS SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• BS/BA MS/MA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Pulp & Paper Engineering, Paper Science, Polymer Science, Polymer Technology, Surface Coatings, or relevant work experience in a related field.
• BS/BA Business or relevant work experience in a related field.
• 5+ years' experience in web converting (paper and/or film) businesses and markets preferred
• 3+ years' experience in release liners related business as a supplier, producer, or consumer preferred
• Data analytics
• Business case development
• Business acumen
• Commercial systems capabilities
• Analytical skills certification or education preferred
• Project management training or experience preferred

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Marketing analytics and research
  • Compiling and reporting on third party market reports/data
  • Consolidating internal call reports, summarizing for business team
  • Draft and issue pertinent market related information to the sales and other stakeholder segment teams
  • Primary market and competitive research as directed by leader
• Business case development
  • Support data collection and analysis of project and CAPEX business cases
• Project management
  • Business responsibilities as assigned for development projects
  • Support projects related to competitive analysis and research
  • Support team business development activities
• Business financial analytics
  • Supporting the business team by producing financial dashboards
• Loparex Market Presentations
  • Support development of Company and Market presentations
